Lauren is a multidisciplinary artist, song leader and meditation teacher.
Lauren has been recognized and published in multiple publications and galleries for their art, they have been certified an advanced teacher with 450 ytt instructor hours specifying in meditation. They are committed to sharing the dharma on and off the cushion for the liberation of all beings.
This four week meditation series will draw from the wisdom of the four immeasurables, or the four faces of love.
We will explore the teachings and techniques for embodying one of these concepts each week.
Week one: loving kindness, friendliness
Week two: compassion, understanding
Week three: empathetic joy
Week four:- equanimity, inclusiveness
No prior experience is needed to participate in this class, come as you are.
When you arrive in the space, you will first find your seat, listen to a short explanation on the topic, and then be gently led into a meditation practice, before we close each session the instructor will invite sharing from the group or expand on the topic.
This series is meant to give you tools to help you to find balance, stability, and patience even in the face of difficult situations. By the end of the series you will have been introduced to a number of different meditation practices that you can take with you into your daily life.
This series is offered for free, nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
