Coulee Roots Bujinkan
Warrior training for a modern world
In the summer of 2018 we held a two day overnight camp for our group of little ninjas. We did slack lining, rolling on the grass, swimming/standing immersed in the creek, throwing star and bo shuriken (or bo staff), trail hiking, and animal crawls along with more traditional training sessions like what we normally do in the dojo. We included all the food and camping in large bell tents near the river in the Kickpoo Valley Reserve. In addition to us all having a great time, this event received lots of positive feedback.
We are hoping to repeat this event with our students this summer if possible, with an increased number of days and class offerings.
